Welcome to the website of Patrick Hughes, educator, international performer, guitarist, and session player. He holds a B.Education degree from the University of Western Ontario, 2 diplomas in jazz/popular music performance and comprehensive music from Grant MacEwan University, and a B.A in Honours Music (classic guitar performance) from the University of Western Ontario.

Patrick is a passionate and diverse player who is at home in any number of styles ranging from Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country, Classical, and Latin - to only name a few. As an instructor, he loves exploring music with others and finding ways to perform as well as understand the music his students engage in.

This site is designed to show you a bit about Patrick, his music, his lessons, and keep you up to date with all that is happening in the near future. Cross Canada Tour
I will be heading through October to back up Australian Aritst Alanna Cherote for Sparks/EMI. It would be great to see lots of you out in each place we play. Check out my events for more info.

Hughes & Mac

I've got a new little acoustic project with singer Shelly MacDermid. We've been playing together for years now and have decided to start doing some acoustic shows together. Canadian Music Week

Well, CMW came and went. Super busy week, met lots of industry people and played some great shows.
